Harvest overtime paid properly
Every hour over contract is paid at the statutory premium, settled monthly. No time banking, no waiting until winter to be made whole.
Vistula Fields employs 48 permanent staff and around 35 seasonal crew across four sites. There is no head office layer between the people planning the rotation and the people driving the combine — the agronomy team walks the same blocks the operators cut.
We will not pretend arable work is a nine-to-five. Between mid-July and early October the days are long, the weather decides the schedule, and everyone — including the office — ends up on a weighbridge at some point.
What we can promise is that the terms are honest before you sign. Hours, overtime rates, season length and accommodation are written into the offer. Seasonal contracts state an end date and we honour it, and returning crew are contacted first every May before anything is advertised.
Most of our season contracts are open to applicants from outside the EU. Where a role is marked as sponsored, we file the seasonal work permit with the Płock starosta, cover the fee and send you the paperwork you need for the consulate — the only roles we cannot do that for are the ones requiring a Polish state certificate or signing authority. Applications are read by the people you would actually work for, and everyone gets an answer within ten working days.

Six things that are true of every contract we issue, permanent or seasonal.
Every hour over contract is paid at the statutory premium, settled monthly. No time banking, no waiting until winter to be made whole.
Telehandler, forklift and sprayer certification is funded and taken on site. Operators move up through the fleet as they qualify, not by waiting for a vacancy.
Shared accommodation at the Kuyavia depot for the harvest season, plus a hot meal on every cutting day. Travel to the block is arranged from the depot.
PPE supplied and replaced, machinery inspected on a schedule, and a genuine right to stop work. Harvest pressure never overrides a safety call.
Most of our permanent operators and two of our four site leads started as seasonal crew. Vacancies go to the yard and the fields before they go to a job board.
Once the beet campaign closes, permanent staff work regular hours. Maintenance, training and soil sampling season is deliberately calmer than August.
